The essence of the template i use to analyze groups and organizations is basically out of Jungian Psychology and Augustinian Spirituality, wherein one is looking for the more hidden, unconscious aspects of some reality, using the categories of Ego, Persona, Shadow, Complexes,Anima/Animus and Self as part of a general outline.
There is a great guide book by John Corlett and Carol Pearson titled Mapping the Organizational Psyche that i make use of in this work. In this method an organization would first identify their "organizational Ego," and then this group together with a consultant does a depth psycho-social study of the organization.
The theory for Archetypal Pattern Analysis comes from Dr. Michael Conforti, founder of the Assisi Institute.
Conforti, Michael, Field, Form, and Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, and Psyche, Woodstock, Conn., Spring Publications, 1969 (publ. in Italian as Il codice innato by Luciano Perez, Roma, Edizione Magi, 2005).
Corlett, John G. & Carol S. Pearson, Mapping the Organizational Psyche: A Jungian Theory of Organizational Dynamics and Change, Gainesville, FL, (CAPT: Center for Applications of Psychological Type), 2003.
He is a priest and pastoral counselor using this discipline primarily in ministry.
His preference is to serve as an educator in pastoral leadership programs.
His M.A.s are in Religious Studies, Spanish and Counseling Psychology, and his Ph.D. in Social Psychology, and he is certified as an Archetypal Pattern Analyst by the Assisi Institute of Brattleboro, VT.
